Topps Premier League 2026/27: One Set, Five Formats - Which One's for You?

A new Premier League season is here — and with it Topps Premier League 2026/27 Flagship Edition, the main annual card set for the English top flight. We stock it in five formats, from a single pack at €4.99 up to a full display box at €135 (our shop prices as of 2 Sep 2026).

Short version: all five formats pull from the same set — the real difference isn't cards-per-euro, it's which exclusives can drop out of which format. Here's what's in the set, what each format hides, and which one I'd pick depending on what you're after.

"Flagship" is Topps' name for the core annual release — the set that anchors the season, with everything else built around it. For 2026/27 that means:

• a 280-card base set (#21–#300) covering every Premier League club,
• a 20-card Future Stars subset — the young names worth watching,
• inserts (an insert is a special card seeded in among the base cards): Beast Mode, Nitro Boost, Flying the Flag, Stars of the Premier League, Retro Threads, 8 Bit Ballers and Chrome Classics,
• short prints (cards printed in smaller quantities, so rarer): All Kings, Ultra Beast Mode and Diamond Rookies.

Five formats, one set

A few things the table doesn't tell you:

• The Eco pack comes in recyclable packaging and is the only route to the Yellow Voltage parallel and the Perfect 10 inserts.
• The tins (Mega and Super) come in three different lid designs — which one you get is random — and once emptied they make genuinely useful card storage.
• The display box is the classic rip: 28 packs of 10 cards.

And some honest math: you pay roughly half a euro per card whichever way you go (the display works out at ≈ €0.48). So don't pick a format on cards-per-euro — pick it on the exclusives. That's where the real difference lives.

The chase: what can you actually pull?

Every collector knows the base set isn't what makes your heart race mid-rip. Here's the chase in this release, from most reachable to holy grail:

• Voltage parallels (a parallel is the same card in a different, scarcer colour) are format-locked: Yellow only in Eco packs, Pink only in the Mega Tin, Blue only in the Super Tin. A genuinely clever collector's touch — every format owns its colour.
• On Fire inserts only drop from tins, and so do the On Fire Autographs (signed cards).
• Perfect 10 is a ten-card insert set from the Eco line, topped by the signed Perfect 10 Autographs.
• Higher up: Quasar, Billboard Material, Carpe Diem and the Gold Lion Black Edge parallels, plus autographs and relics (a relic card carries an actual piece of a player's gear).
• And the top of the pyramid: the True Gold Lion 1/1 — a card made of actual 24-karat gold. "1/1" means exactly one copy exists.

Let's be straight with each other: none of this is guaranteed. An autograph, a relic or a big hit (a rare, sought-after card) is a chance, not a promise — that's how this hobby is built, and it's exactly why a good pull (the card you lift out of a pack) feels so sweet.

Which format should you buy?

• First packs (for you or your kid): the single pack or the Eco pack. Low entry, ten or twenty-five cards, and the Eco pack guarantees two exclusives for that "there's something special in here" feeling.
• A gift: Mega or Super Tin. It looks the part, the tin stays useful as storage, and the tin-only chase lives inside.
• Exclusive hunter: Mega + Super Tin. On Fire and the Pink/Blue Voltage only live there — and the only road to On Fire Autographs runs through the tins.
• Set builder: the display box. 280 cards is the biggest single bite of the base set you can buy — but honestly: duplicates mean one display won't hand you the complete set. Trading for the last few is part of the fun, not a flaw in the plan.

Frequently asked questions

How many cards are in each format? Single pack 10, Eco pack 25, Mega Tin 40, Super Tin 50, display box 280 (28 packs of 10).

What's the difference between the Mega Tin and the Super Tin? The Super Tin has 10 more cards (50 vs 40), three On Fire inserts instead of two, and Blue Voltage parallels instead of Pink. The price gap is €6 (€18.99 vs €24.99, as of 2 Sep 2026).

Are autographs or hits guaranteed in a pack? No. Autographs, relics and big hits are a chance, never a guarantee — no format promises them. What IS guaranteed are the format exclusives (say, two On Fire inserts in a Mega Tin), not what they turn out to be worth.

What does "Flagship" mean? The main annual release — the season's core set that everything else builds on. If you buy one thing to feel the new season, it's this.

Can one display box complete the base set? A display holds 280 cards and the base set is 280 cards — but duplicates mean you almost certainly won't get each card exactly once. Plan on trading or picking up the last singles.

Flagship 2026/27 is the easiest way into the new season — and since all five formats pull from the same set, there's no wrong door: just match your budget to the chase you want.
